“I already have the DLGX3701W dryer. Is this washer compatible? What does compatibility even mean for these units? i.e., what will I lose if I buy a newer washer with better features that isn’t “compatible?””

The only reason compatibility matters is for stacking the units. It is otherwise a matter of aesthetic and perhaps for performance matching but no other compatibility concerns. ^Daphane
