Q: QuestionI bought the LG 4000 washer and dryer set last week. I've noticed that my clothes are getting frayed and worn after being washed in the washer on delicate. Why is this happening? I don't want my clothes to keep getting ruined. What is the gentlest cycle?

• A:Answer I just purchased this unit after having my old faithful LG front loader for 13 years. I love it! The SPECIFIC feature I was looking for which my old unit had but is now difficult to find on most any brand.. is the HAND WASH cycle. I was elated that it can be downloaded from the LG ThinQ app. The hand wash cycle does not do a full circular drum rotation during the wash segment.. only a small, left/right half rotation every few minutes to mimic a hand wash. It is VERY gentle but best for just an item or two. The app does default to the warm water setting, but you can alter that by pressing pause after the machine starts and selecting cold, or your preferred temp. (on the physical machine) and resuming the cycle.
