• I asked LG the same thing and they said, "1. The WM4000HWA has 12 available wash programs while the WM3900HWA has 14. 2. The WM4000HWA has 13 wash options while the WM3900HWA has 12. 3. The WM4000HWA has a Tempered Glass Door Cover while the WM3900HWA has Dark Blue Tinted Round Door Cover" Another thing that is different is the trim is a subtle rose gold color on the 4000 rather than the silver on the 3900
