The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Front-Loading Washer with Steam - White, Model # WM3900HWA does have an internal heating element designed for boosting the hot water. The washer still need to be connected to hot water heater with the hot water temperature set at 120 – 135 °F (48 – 57 °C) and the cold at 60 °F (15 °C) for the washer to provide an optimum washing performance...^IFV

I do not know what an internal heater is or if this machine has one,.
