• Yes. Depending on what wash cycle you select the washer will add or remove water automatically to get you the best clean possible. ^Jennifer

• Yes. The soak water from the soak cycle does empty out, then refill. I have used the sanitize function many times on the washer so far because I often have food coloring on towels that require a soak to get the color out. The washer drains the water after the soak and gets my towels clean
