Mine says “LG Magic Remote” that came with the set. Don’t know anything about different remote types.

You can actually use your Amazon Fire TV remote to control your LG 42" Class C2 Series OLED evo 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. All you need to do is go to settings on your Fire TV and select controllers and Bluetooth devices, then select Amazon Fire TV Remotes. Press and hold the home button for 10 seconds to pair your remote. ^Danee
