This TV does not have an audio output jack of any sort. You can't connect it to a soundbar or stereo or external speakers. I learned this the hard way and will be returning it to the store.

Please try again later.While this TV does not have any audio out jacks, my Blu Ray dvd player does have them, I connected the DVD out put to a small receiver and external speakers. This serves my purposes as I don't care for the Boom Boom sounds on regular TV anyway. IF you need great sound on any other source ( netflix ETC, or any tv movie channels ( FX , AMC, etc) then you would do best with the next price bump on an LG which would probably have a digital audio optical output jack connectable to a sound bar !

However, many cable boxes and BD/DVD players have sound output connections that would make using a sound bar possible on this TV. So if you have any components connected to you tv check those and buy a compatible sound bar.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Cox HD cable box has an optical audio out that can connect an optical audio line to your sound box. That is what we did, sounds great and this is a decent 43 Inch HD picture for $249.
