There is absolutely no reason why the LG 4K UHD HDR Smart LED TV - 43" Class (42.5" Diag), Model # 43UJ6300 cannot be connected to your cable set-top box with an HDMI connection. You have an option of connecting it with the coaxial connection in the back labeled as Antenna/Cable IN or any of its three HDMI ports. You just have to select the proper input as the source for your feed from the set-top box show on your TV when it's connected via HDMI...^IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Contact your local cable-TV service office. You may have an old cable box that can be upgraded to a newer unit that utilizes an HDMI output. Generally cable TV companies will upgrade their older equipment at little or no charge to the customer. If you happen to have Comcast/Xfinity service, you can go to one of their local service stores and swap out your old box for one with HDMI capability, on the spot. They will usually provide a HDMI cable, in addition to the new box. Be sure to bring in your old cable box and remote control unit with you, as you will be charged for the old unit, if it is not returned to them.
