Hi acenote. Using half the electricity does not necessarily mean that you are paying half the price that you did the previous year. All the TVs come with an Energy Guide label attached that shows its Estimated Yearly EnergyCost. Your utility rates may have changed or may be different from the rates used to calculate this estimate.
