If your Internet speeds on Verizon 5G are consistently "good" then you will have no problem with the regular streams such as Netflix, Prime, and CNN and/or Local TV station viewing over your Internet connection. The three streaming services you mentioned have "apps" for that LG television. Local channels on the other hand are another issue. Yes, you can work with the DirectTV service personnel to subscribe to streaming TV over the Internet without the "dish". You really should also compare the DirectTV services and pricing against the offerings from YouTube TV, Hulu Live TV, and Sling.

We understand that you're trying to set up your LG model 43UR9000PUA TV with your current internet provider and are wondering about the need for additional equipment. For your LG TV, you don’t necessarily need the DIRECTV Satellite and Receiver Box to access streaming services and local channels. Here’s a breakdown: Streaming Services: Since you enjoy Netflix, Prime Video, and CNN, you can access these services directly through your TV’s built-in apps. The LG 43UR9000PUA supports popular streaming apps, and you can connect to your Verizon 5G HOME internet to stream content. Local Channels: For local channels, you have a couple of options: Over-the-Air (OTA) Antenna: You can use an OTA antenna to pick up local broadcast channels. Connect the antenna to the TV’s antenna input to access local channels. Cable or Satellite Subscription: If you prefer, you can use a cable or satellite service like DIRECTV. This would involve connecting the DIRECTV Receiver Box to the TV for access to a wider range of channels. If you’re only interested in streaming services and local channels, an OTA antenna should suffice without needing the DIRECTV equipment. If you need further assistance with setup or have any more questions, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be happy to assist you. We appreciate your patience. —Renzo
