Hi there, Art. Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand you're asking if the LG 48" Class B5 Series OLED AI 4K UHD Smart webOS TV (OLED48B5PUA) can be used as a computer monitor and if it suffers from auto-dimming. Yes, this TV can certainly be used as a computer monitor. Its OLED panel offers excellent picture quality, deep blacks, and a fast response time, which are beneficial for PC use. Regarding auto-dimming, LG OLED TVs have features like Automatic Brightness Limiter (ABL) or OLED Care functions that may dim the screen to prevent burn-in and protect the display, especially when static images are displayed for extended periods. There are typically settings within the TV's menu to manage or reduce the impact of these features for PC usage. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-48-class-b5-series-oled-ai-4k-uhd-smart-webos-tv-2025/JJ8VPZTK9F If you have any further questions about optimizing the display settings for use as a monitor, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be more than happy to assist you. —Renzo
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use it as a monitor and it has a "Game Optimzer" mode. The only time I have experienced "Auto Dimming" is when it recognizes I am watching a show/movie and it switches to filmmaker mode (which I have it set up to do)
