LG 48-Inch Class B4 Series OLED AI 4K UHD Smart webOS TV (OLED48B4PUA) I recently upgraded my bedroom TV to the LG 48-inch B4 Series OLED, and wow, what a difference! As someone who loves binge-watching shows, gaming on my PS5, and streaming movies, this TV has exceeded all my expectations. Let me break it down why this is easily one of the best purchases I've made in 2025. First off, the picture quality is absolutely mind-blowing. The self-lit OLED pixels deliver perfect blacks and infinite contrast – no more washed-out dark scenes like on my old LED TV. Colors pop with incredible vibrancy, thanks to the α8 AI Processor that upscales everything to near-4K perfection. I watched Dune: Part Two in Dolby Vision HDR, and it felt like I was in the theater; the details in the sand dunes and explosions were razor-sharp. Even older content looks refreshed with AI Picture Pro tweaking the settings automatically. And at 48 inches, it's the perfect size for my bedroom – not too overwhelming, but immersive enough for movie nights in bed. Gaming is where this TV really shines. With a 120Hz refresh rate, VRR, and super-low input lag (around 10ms), it's a dream for console gamers. I hooked up my PS5, and games like Cyberpunk 2077 run buttery smooth without any tearing or stuttering. It's NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync compatible, so PC gaming feels seamless too. Plus, the Game Optimizer menu lets you fine-tune settings on the fly – no more fumbling through menus mid-game. The smart features on webOS 24 are intuitive and snappy. Setup was a breeze; it connected to my Wi-Fi instantly, and I had Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, HBO Max and Prime Video up in seconds. Voice control with Alexa and Google Assistant works flawlessly – I just say "Hey Google, play Stranger Things," and it's on. The ThinQ AI even suggests content based on what I've watched, which is a nice touch. And for sports fans, the multi-view split-screen is great for watching two games at once. Sound-wise, the built-in speakers with Dolby Atmos are surprisingly powerful. They fill the room with clear dialogue and immersive effects – no need for a soundbar right away, though I might add one later for extra bass. Connectivity is solid too: four HDMI ports (two are 2.1 for next-gen gaming), eARC for audio passthrough, and Bluetooth for headphones. A few minor notes: In super-bright rooms, reflections can be noticeable on the glossy screen, but the anti-reflective coating helps a lot. Burn-in hasn't been an issue for me (I enable pixel shift), and LG's warranty covers it anyway. At the price I got it for (around $600 during a sale), it's an absolute steal compared to pricier OLEDs like the C4 series. If you're in the market for a premium TV without breaking the bank, go for the LG B4. It's transformed my entertainment setup – highly recommend! Pros: Unmatched OLED picture with AI enhancements Killer gaming features User-friendly webOS interface Great value for the specs Cons: Could be brighter in very lit rooms (but fantastic for most) Purchased from Best Buy in November 2025. If LG keeps this up, I'll be a customer for life!

Fantastic OLED with Amazing Black Level and Colors

I'm absolutely ecstatic about my 48" LG B5 because it is a fantastic, great, awesome, etc., OLED TV. I'm glad I decided to spend a little more to get an OLED after doing extensive research and deciding an OLED was definitely worth the money. Especially since I got my 48" LG B5 for a great price of $700 a week ago. The thing I love about OLED's is the ability to achieve perfect black levels that helps to create superb contrast that in return helps the TV to achieve incredible depth, clarity, color and detail that produces such amazing picture quality. And my B5 out of the box needed almost no tweaking to achieve the excellent picture quality that I find perfect for my viewing habits. The colors on the B5 are beautiful and bright and all colors just look correct. Now this entry level OLED doesn't get super bright (under 1000 nits) but it gets more than bright enough for my needs. Don't hesitate to buy this TV because you will not regret it at all. In fact, you're going to wish you went OLED sooner just like I did. P.S. All the pictures in my review were taken on my s25+ of my TV so you're looking at a picture of a picture and the B5 still looks amazing. Imagine how good it looks in person.

A 48” OLED worth every penny

This my first OLED TV without coming in to a BB store and comparing it to the rest of the lineups. I bought this TV after reading about how truly black scenes can get and yes they do get to point zero. After watching various videos from different reviewers and also budget coming into play, this was for the the best bang for the buck money could get me before Black Friday. Hopefully the “48 won’t go below 630 otherwise I would advise to buy it with your eyes shut. The TV surprisingly gets loud so no soundbar is needed. Sound quality is standard, obviously not going to hear deep bass since no subwoofer is built in, like my U8k it replaced from competing brand an miniLED one which was no slouch neither. My room setup can be both total darkness or very bright with LED high powered grow plant light, so expect glare accordingly. I mostly got this because of my PS5 it truly makes a difference in dark scenes. Watching HDR content is such a delightful experience that I just wondered why I didn’t buy OLED before. The tv shows a popup on the top right hand corner if it’s HDR or Dolby Vision and Audio, just remember to change to highest best setting available. The operating system is OK I can’t expect it to be millisecond fast but LG has refined it especially with the wand remote. I haven’t really downloaded much just my usual to go apps. As far as ghosting or burn in fear, there’s options for the latter and I haven’t really noticed any ghosting, except in Halloween lol. To sum it up, if you need a console gaming TV for your personal room or to watch anything else you can’t go wrong with this “48. Get it under 700 is the best price yet. Photos taken from an iPhone 17 Pro Max, TV brightness set at 100 HDR standard setting.

We set this TV up shortly after delivery and have been using it for a few weeks now. Setup was quick and easy. The picture quality is excellent, the OLED blacks and overall clarity really stand out. The TV is in a shared living space where we’re often doing multiple things at once (playing games, cooking, hanging out), and it’s been perfect for that. Our house faces south and the room has an east-facing window, so there is some morning light, but glare has not been an issue at all. Sound quality depends a bit on what we’re streaming. Some apps sound great right out of the gate, while others require adjusting sound modes or volume levels more than expected. It’s not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of. Overall, this has been a great addition to our home and works really well in a space where the TV is more about enhancing the atmosphere than being the sole focus

This TV has a laggy UI, but otherwise it's pretty good. Not every day you find an OLED with variable refresh rate at an affordable price. It is a good step up from the LED 60hz TV I was using, but there are some problems. The colors feel unnaturally vibrant and no matter what I do I can't seem to fix this. Though I could just not be used to OLED. The main problem is thay I've noticed the yellows constantly change. I can be looking at the same image without doing anything, and the color looks completely different one minute than it does the next. Sometimes the yellows look great, other times they look dark and washed out, to the point they could even be considered browns. I first noticed this when I tried playing Fortnite. The Simpsons as shown on the cover of the game looked extremely off. But after a few minutes I checked back and they looked fine. Then they looked bad again. I am not sure if my TV is faulty or if this is some sort of anti burn-in feature, but if it's the latter I can't turn it off, and I find that very irritating. It's a small enough issue that I can look past it for the most part, but man does it really bring down the experience. Putting that aside, the sound is pretty good. Just whatever you do do NOT enable the "AI enhanced" sound at startup. That sounds awful. Overall I recommend this if you can get it on sale and you're a gamer who can really take advantage of the VRR. Otherwise you might want to look elsewhere, though I'm not much of an expert on TVs so maybe this is still worth it to you.

This TV delivers amazing picture quality for the price—sharp detail, rich colors, and beautiful deep blacks. The size is perfect, setup was easy, and the smart features work great. Free delivery from Best Buy right before Christmas made it an even better deal. Outstanding value and highly recommended.

Ah OLED. You get back every penny in the experience. Movies, anime, GAMING, everything blew me away with this Lg oledB5. This is truly one of the craziest deals I’ve ever seen, at $599, and normally I wouldn’t buy the membership for stores. But the price of the tv went down by $50 and I got that money back with a price match, so the membership was well worth it. I love how intuitive the Best Buy app is as well. Please buy an OLED. They’re truly unique from every other type of tv on the market. You won’t regret it. Side note- I’ve been wanting to purchase a soundbar really bad, but only had the budget for the tv right now. I’ve got to tell you I’m seriously impressed with the built in speakers in this tv here. They’re more than clear and loud enough to justify waiting and buying a better surround sound bar, than cheaping out on one right now with less channels.

I was on the fence at first because I couldn't see a display model. I am so glad I decided to buy this TV. For an entry level OLED the picture is gorgeous. Everything I watch on here looks so much better than my old QLED TV. Gaming is incredible as well. It has a load of amazing gaming features my old TV didn't have. With the amazing prices this TV has been going for lately you can't go wrong. I would highly recommend this TV to friends and family. It's perfect for anyone with an LCD tv looking to upgrade. It's a great choice for anyone looking to take a leap into OLED TVs for the first time. You won't regret it.

2.5 years ago I was on the market for a new screen. At the time, money was a problem and I had to settle for a lesser option. Although it was a 4K screen that supported Dolby Vision and HDR 10+, the QLED backlight just didn't cut it (not to mention the LEDs started dying before it even reached 2 years). This new LG OLED, the one I wanted all those years back but couldn't afford, should have been the TV I purchased! It would have been worth it then. But thankfully it's still worth it now. I'm in awe every time I turn the TV on. My Switch 2, PS5, and all my 4K UHD discs look astounding. If you are hesitant, don't be... get an LG OLED.

This is my first OLED and man the difference from this compared to my old lg 4k tv is life changing! The difference is night and day and everything is amazing! I also heard about people complain about OLEDS being only good for dark rooms but my room gets reasonably lit and it’s still pretty bright! Definitely brighter than I thought it would be and It’s also really great for gaming too with the 120hz panel which is what I was looking for and it works flawlessly while also looking stunning. Only thing that I dislike is that I’ve never liked LGs OS but at least it runs pretty smooth on this tv and everything has been working great. 100% worth the switch to OLED for anyone on the fence

This tv is the best purchase I’ve made the 4k oled makes colours look so good and watching newer 4k movies and shows is amazing the quality makes it look like your seeing through a window and if your a gamer this tv has a gaming mode that makes it 120fps at 4k so when it comes to playing story games like Silent Hill F it looks so realistic the shadows and colours looks good together and if your more of an action type like battlefield 6 the 120fps makes it so smooth honestly I can’t believe how good of a deal this tv was compared to Amazon or other stores that have them listed at $1000 so getting it for $600 was a steal and oleds ain’t cheap so if I was you I’ll get this tv while it’s $600 off

Excellent entry level OLED TV. Bought on Black Friday for $500, so excellent deal for an OLED. Used mostly for PS5 and BluRay movies. 4k HDR and 120fps look amazing on this tv. It may not be the brightest tv out there but it is more than sufficient for everyday use even with open windows and lights on. I prefer to use it with the lights off anyway to get the best visual experience. Would definitely recommend if you can get a good price on it.

This is my 2nd OLED tv. I bought this for my bedroom after buying a Samsung S90D 65” for my living room this spring. Once you have gotten used to the inky blacks and smoothness of OLED. You won’t be able to go back to leds. Even though the mini-leds come close and some higher end models are nearly indistinguishable and the better option if you’re in a bright room. If you’re in a bedroom and you can control the light. This tv is the way to go. I use it for my PS5 and it’s smooth. It also integrates with HomeKit which they don’t really advertise. They also don’t say it will seamless switch between HDMI inputs. I want to play PS5 I turn on the controller and it switches. I want to watch AppleTV I pick up my remote and hit the home button and it switches over. It is in my scene for HomeKit so it always turns off when I leave my house. I don’t ever have to think about it. There are so many features light the feet are metal, that aren’t listed that have made this well worth the sale price I paid. Also forgive the pics I have a mount but haven’t got around to hanging it. I put it on the stand by myself and these TV’s are kind of delicate. But you can manage this one by yourself.

After watching an LED TV whose light was dimming this TV has opened up my eyes to how bright everything could really be. It took a little bit getting used to the remote and the home screen but I am so glad that I bought this TV. The options that are available on it are amazing. I can even use my Alexa with it. There are so many functions that I still haven’t explored all of them. For the price I am surprised at how much I like this television. Also the sound quality is so good that I put my sound bar into storage.

I purchased 2 of these in November 2025 and finally got them on the wall in December 2025 and so far they have been excellent TV’s with crisp picture and very good sound without a sound bar. The only problem is they are both in my TV room side-by-side and I have to turn both on or both off at the same time with either of the remote controls. After talking with several in store salespersons and then on the phone with two different people at LG and no solutions I finally Googled how to program the two remotes without interference with each other to get a solution. At his time I still can’t turn on just one of the TVs by itself as both remotes still turn on and off both TVs at the same time but everything else works separately on each remote once they’re on… changing the volume, channels, apps etc. I just had to label the remotes right and left so I know which remote works with which TV once they are on. At this time I would purchase these again. The photo is them side by side above my other TV. I will update this of changes if there is ability to do so.

Amazing TV for the price and the fact its a LG oled. I was debating between b5 or c5 and the b is a no brainer when it comes to price to performance. Not to mention, i keep it at 50% brightness most of the day unless im rrying to focus on something special. So the extra mmph the c5 would of offered would of been a little pointless since id prolly have it at 25% in that case. The gaming mode is great at 120hz. The c5 pushes the 144hz whitch is prolly the only downfall. As well as the processor being a little slow compared to the c5 but nothing to really argue since i use this tv for pc gaming. And casual tv watching before bed or during meals. The audio is quite nice aswell. After hearing how well the c5s was i was a little nervous but am amazed by the quality and adjustment level. Couldnt be happier with my new LG oled b5. The 2nd photo is with window blinds open and tv at 35% brightness last photo 100% brightness. Hope this helps

We used AI enhancement to watch a DVD, Four Christmases. Initially, we were in awe, it was like watching it live, like we were at a play. The picture was so crisp and color so vibrant, it appeared unnatural. When I decided to switch to Filmmaker Mode, everything appeared dull, and the excitement went away. After reading some reviews, it sounds like FMM will take some getting used to, but we will find it really is the more natural look so I’m going to stick with it. I want to relax when I watch a movie, not feel overstimulated by the viewing features. For me, that is the difference.
