• If you leave it in something I believe is called a quick start mode it starts immediately

• If you select the Quick Start mode, accessed through the control menu, by the remote control unit, the set comes on virtually immediately. Just be aware that the set uses a moderate amount of electricity in the standby mode, to achieve the Quick Start feature, as opposed to very little power, when it is not set for quick start.
