• Unfortunately the remote control for the 49UK6090PUA cannot be used as an universal remote and cannot control your DVD player. ^CP

• If the player is connected via HDMI, you can control the Samsung BluRay player. I’m currently doing it with my Samsung player. No setup needed. It will control the player a few seconds after you switch to the input.
