Yes it is. The water it uses, picks up the detergent as they wash, which is why it needs so little in the first place. So it is normal to have water in there. Mine vaporizes almost fully after a few hours. I usually ignore it as the water gets pushed out when I put gel detergent in there.

It the detergent tray is still filled with water I can't put more detergent into the tray (unless I can get the water out) and wash another load. Someone saying that it's not a problem is not an answer...it's an attempt to excuse this instead of find out how to correct it. This alone has convinced me not to buy this machine.
