Chapter 27 Plumbing Fixtures Section P2701 Fixtures, Faucets and Fixture Fittings states "Standpipes for automatic clothes washers shall extend a minimum of 30 inches (762 mm) and a maximum of 48 inches (1219 mm) above the finished floor. The trap for a clothes washer shall be installed at a maximum of 12 inches (305 mm) above the finished floor." Check your local plumbing codes to verify this...^IFV
