“I have the same issue as many other described over here and LG website. The sound of the voices is NOT laud enough during the surround sound action scenes. I chated with LG & they could not help. Could you please advise if someone has found a solution?”

The soundbar is FIXED, firmware updated, so you now have control of the CENTER speaker! Vocals/Dialogue no longer an issue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.LG social media CS will reply to questions and reviews but when you call them, they want the unit returned. They explain that that they do not have an upper-level support team for sound bars like they do for say - televisions. So essentially, their social media respondents are wasting time - making it appear as though they are responsive in a positive way. I personally find that insulting. There has been only 1 firmware update to this product and it doesn't fix the problem.

Install LG Speaker app on you phone, it will connect to soundbar and you will be able to download and install update which will allow you to control center channel. This will correct the dialogue part of movies. Center volume is a must.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Its May 29, 2019 and the problem is not fixed yet. The DSP is seriously broken. The object based sound processing is supposed to be a great novel item; but it seems to break the fundamental sound of any audio track; the vocals/dialogue on this soundbar. Anyone who claims that the firmware fixed something, i am not sure on how so. I have to crank up my volume way above comfortable levels to understand what the characters on the screen are talking about. Even then I still end up asking others "huh, what did he/she say?". Done all the research and fiddled with various settings to make it better. The center channel is cranked up to 6; the maximum setting and still no go. 2019 Soundbar is now out. Not sure if LG will invest time on this soundbar from last year. I really hope they do. Its a 1k + investment in sound for many folks; and that's not a joke amount of cash.
