What is video pass-through 1080 null

Yes, you can pass surround sound & video through it but it's limited to the FHD level (1920x1080). It will not pass QHD or 4K (3840x2160). ←That's true. This example is a guess → tablet connected to soundbar hdmi in. Soundbar hdmi out connected to tv. You won't be able to see QHD video stored on the laptop in QHD quality on the tv. The video will show in FHD quality instead. Or it won't show at all.
