“Two questions: Can I have the lid open while water is filling? I like to have water run onto clothes while spot-treating. And, can a 5’5 person reach the bottom of the barrel? I’m afraid I’ll be found fallen head first into the barrel in my current LG.”

I’m only 5’3” and reach the bottom with no problem. Maybe a little tippy toes but that’s only when stuff gets stuck to the bottom during the spin cycle.
