“How do I keep the lid open like this after I cycle? Everytime I open it it just wants to close using the slow close feature. I feel like I am forcing it to stay open, but I know you are supposed to leave it open after washing. Am I missing something”

It is likely not level front to back. Check it with a level front-to-back and side-to-side.

Has this been an issue since purchasing the washer or is this a new development?
