We are having the same issue. Just got the washer this week. We close the tray before starting and every time after the wash cycle is complete the tray is full and we have to empty it so we can put in detergent for the next load.

Please try again later.Edit to my previous posting about this subject: I re-read the instructions and they say to push the tray back in after the detergent has been added and before starting the cycle. I have been leaving the tray open during the wash cycle which is not correct. I suspect the water will not collect when the tray is closed. Looks like a user-oops.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm guessing it's not normal to have the detergent tray filled with water after a wash cycle, but my washer does this as well. I found that by pushing the drawer back in after each wash cycle the water drains out, but I wish I did not have to do that. Seems like an "oops" by LG.
