Front load washers generally use less water and take a little longer than top load washers. This washer has an impeller rather than an agitator. ^Daphane

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The top loader does not have an agitator. We replaced a front loader. We did not like it because after a while there were odors in the front door seal that was a pain to get rid of. At times the clothes smelled like sour milk. I read that the top loader doesn't have that issue.
