“How do you clean the stove the black top surface without scratching it . Had some liquid boil over and there is like dark brown burnt on it and I want to keep it new looking as long as I can. Any advice ? Also on the grates too”

Try to damping it and put some baking soda on it and let it sit and it should loosen up and wipe off. You may need to repeat.
