Unless you have a massive living room i dont think you will the sound is louder than expected my living room is 20x 20 sounds great

However, I found myself surprised in a good way. Of course, there is very limited low end sound, but we've been enjoying the t.v. without a soundbar. By the way, I have an old soundbar that does not have Optical in, which means I'll be purchasing a converter. There was a moment when I thought..."Do I even need it? The sound's pretty good on the t.v." However, I just ordered the converter... of course a Soundbar is going to be better. It'll cost you, though.
