• The LG - 50" Class (49.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV - Black, Model # 50UH5530 has built-in down firing speakers, but the speakers are not needed to connect to a SoundBar. The TV has an Optical Digital Audio Output in the back that is used to connect to SoundBars that have an Optical Digital Audio Input on them. You will also need to get an Optical Digital Cable (also called a Toslink cable) to make the connection if you do not have one...^IFV

• There's no external speakers, but you can hook it up to a soundbar very easily.

• I believe so. I bought a sound bar with it but decided to return it. I'm happy with the sound from the tv for now will add later
