• Yes they are different. The 49" uses a IPS screen and the 50" uses a VA screen. That being said, it's only the case with the LG6300 tvs. In my opinion the VA screen is better when you're not using local dimming (higher end tvs). If you Google you'll see the differnences is the types of screen technology.
