This is definitely a huge concern! Screen burn is very possible with this tv that's why it is reccomended to make sure you have the screen saver on.

Please try again later.IMO you should try to never have static on any of these sets, although, as I'm a gamer, I get its unavoidable, I haven't seen this yet, hope it doesn't become an issue, if I see it, I'd probably suggest exchanging it or going with a different one. I believe, now, with 4K, 8k ten years of so, these sets are returning to plasma quality. I think because of this, image retention is coming back with it. I never had a plasma that I could game on, even in a few short hours, games like Fallout, Diablo 3, always produced irreversible retention, drove me crazy. It really sucks to have a set like this for cable and movies and to have a different one for console, too costly. I hope that's not the issue...this is still not true plasma...not sure why that's happening, but they warn of it in manual still.
