The Xfinity Stream Beta app is available in the LG Content Store but I do not think it will eliminate the need for your TV receiver. Verify that with Comcast. This TV has a webOS platform. Yes. I just installed the app yesterday and it works the same as with Roku and the web app. Check out the support page from Xfinity as it has most of the questions answered along with the limitations. Note: I was having issues using the pointer for the TV. It seems that you need to use the scroll button to navigate rather than the pointer (mouse?). I would suggest that you get used to all of the functions for the Stream app before getting rid of the cable box.
