No. The magic remote uses blue tooth and works with the tv. Things that are directly connected via hdmi can be controlled and the c2 does include an ir blaster cable so that it will work with some other things but it's not guaranteed. Using the ir blaster I can control the volume of my son is play bar that's connected via optical cable though.
