The gap between the bottom of the panel on the LG B8PUA 4K HDR Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 55" Class (54.6" Diag), Model # OLED55B8PUA and the surface it is installed on will be 1.8" so if your Soundbar is 3.5" tall, it will cover 1.7" of the TV's screen...^IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it will but mine is on a wall and right above a wall mounted stand. The sound bar can be under the bottom tv. The stand looked high enough. One thing. I got the smaller sound bar and use the optical connector enclosed which allows the tv speakers and the sound bar to both output sound. No sync/lag problems like store person said. Good sound simple. As far as the remote, when turn on tv, sound bar comes on but independently adjustable for volume. I think the tv remote works off the screen. As soon as you point it at tv you see a red cursor which you control like computer. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From the bottom of the stand to the bottom of the tv bezell is only 1 3/4 of a inch. You would need to put something under the tv stand such as a 2 inch thick piece of wood that could be stained to mach your tv stand or you might be able to find a laminated shelf in the hardware store that already matches your stand color. You may need to put two shelves on top of each other to get the height you need.
