On your induction cooktop each cooking element has two rings around it to help indicate the best size pan to use and to help keep the pan centered. Ideally the bottom of the pan should fully cover the inner ring for proper cooking to occur. And the outer ring is marked to indicate the maximum pan size that should be used for each element. On the back two burners, minimum pan size is 5.5" and maximum pan size is 6". On the front left element the minimum pan size is 7.5", maximum pan size is 8". And on the front right element the minimum pan size is 9.5", and maximum is 10". If the pan is too small the affected cooking element's LED bar will fluctuate and pan may not heat. If the pan to too large then there will be areas within the pan that do not heat evenly. Also the pan should make full contact with the glass surface without the pan touching the metal cooktop trim. ^Jennifer
