Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A 3 wire is for up to 40 amp service and a 4 wire is for up to 50 amp service. Whichever was used on your old range. If you pull your old range out from the wall (Be careful not to tip it over) you will see a 3 or 4 wire outlet behind it on the wall. You must buy a new cord. Any reliable brand (GE, etc) is fine.
