No. This is not a downdraft range. Venting is on top backside. The thing about downdraft vents that I never knew about until I built my house, you have to have a hole in the floor for the venting to go under your house. It makes sense but not anything I have thought I would need. So now I have to have downdraft venting stoves in the future. If getting this ranmge, consider having a backsplash before installing or first use. It will prevent your drywalls from being damaged.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is not a built in ventilation system. Do not locate your range where it may be subject to strong drafts. Any openings in the floor or wall behind the range should be sealed. Make sure the openings around the base of the range that supply fresh air for combustion and ventilation are not blocked by carpeting or woodwork. The range has vents at the back of the cooktop. Do not block the vent opening. ^Daphane
