“Is the stainless steel really stainless steel or is it colored stainless steel? I'm researching gas ranges and I have found a few that were colored stainless steel and they peeled a few months after purchasing. True stainless steel will not peel.”

We've had ours for a few months now and are very happy with it. The exterior surface is stainless and very easy to clean. Mostly with just water and a microfiber cloth. Like most metals, it can scratch if you use an abrasive=like material to clean it. About once a month, I use stainless steel polish on all our appliance surfaces (we bought all new). When using the oven, you should be aware that the heat causes the blue material to expand and contract making a "popping" sound. But the more we use it the less it pops. Hope this helps.
