“Reading the description it says no to downdraft but the information suggest that it may have that option. Can someone help? We have a freestanding range in kitchen and it needs to be downdraft.”

The owner's manual specifically states this product should not be installed below ventilation type hood systems that direct air in a downward direction. Doing so may cause ignition and combustion problems with the gas burners resulting in personal injury and may affect the cooking performance of the unit. ^Daphane
