• Range LSGL6337F e Broil function uses intense heat from the upper heating element to cook food. Some models may feature a hybrid broiler consisting of an inner broiler that utilizes a carbon heating element which provides instantaneous heat and a traditional outer broiling element. Please note that this range is designed for closed-door broiling. Close the door to set the Broil function. If the door is open, the Broil function cannot be set and "door" appears on the display. Close the door and reset the Broil function. Opening the door turns off the broil burner during roiling. If the door is opened during broiling, the broil burner turns off after five seconds. The broiler turns back on automatically once the door is closed. ^Daphane

• The broiler is conventional open flame but is used with door closed. Does a great job. We love this oven stove.
