Ours does as well but the install has it back against the wall
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello there, KD. We understand your inquiry about whether the LG LDGL6924S has a recessed back to accommodate a protruding gas valve. According to LG’s installation specifications, this model is designed with a mostly flat rear surface and can be placed flush against the wall with 0″ clearance, but it does not include a built-in recessed cavity specifically for a gas valve protrusion. In other words, if your gas valve sticks out several inches, the range itself does not have an internal cutout to house that protrusion. For safe installation when the gas valve is not recessed, LG and installation guidelines recommend having the installer create a recessed gas outlet box in the wall behind the range so the valve and connection sit within the wall cavity, allowing the stove to sit flush without interference. This approach meets local codes and ensures the range can be positioned properly and safely against the wall. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-6-9-cu-ft-freestanding-double-oven-gas-true-convection-smart-range-with-easyclean-and-air-fry-stainless-steel/6574920.p?skuId=6574920 If you’d like detailed guidance on measuring your space, arranging for a recessed gas box installation, or any other installation precautions based on LG’s official instructions, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport.
