Can the oven be turned on without electricity? null

In case of a power failure, you can light the gas surface burners on your range with a match. However, do not use the oven. The oven and broiler cannot be used during a power outage. If the oven is in use when a power failure occurs, the oven burner shuts off and cannot be re-lit until power is restored. Once power is restored, you will need to reset the oven (or Broil function). Do not attempt to operate the electric ignition during an electrical power failure. ^Daphane
