If the LG Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW6015ER is not in use and you want to protect it from the elements, you can purchase a cover from any home improvement store. Typically, most people will uninstall it for the winter & store it away to prevent, dust and debris from accumulating in it. If uninstalling it is going to prove too much of a chore, then a good cover that you can cover it securely with will suffice. You can never have the cover on while the unit is in operation because those louvers have to stay unobstructed and need to have a natural air flow around them. That is crucial to the functioning and cooling performance of the air conditioner...^IFV
