“Can anybody comment on this tv's performance in a dark room? I've read that there are problems with with picture quality when viewing in dark rooms.”

Press the settings (cog or gear icon) button , along the right screen there will be circles with icons (I believe picture options is the mountain icon) click on the picture icon select smart setting for dark rooms and it will adjust accordingly. This t.v. Is great. My only complaint is that my HD cable box can no longer live up to my t.v.
