IR beam acceptance is at the bottom, middle of television. Might I suggest looking at Wayfair for a cabinet. The one I bought has a space for the soundbar, and weighs about 90 lbs. This will solve your soundbar issue, and make a very clean appearance. The Wayfair site will give you all of the dimensions, so you should be able to find exactly what meets your expectations.
