• Absolutely not! You cannot register both remotes if you want to use the pointer, only one remote with a pointer will work. Otherwise volume or channel change will work. But you can't both use the pointer at all, end of discussion. I checked this out. Only one magic remote with the pointer will work. ✔️

• Not sure. But you can download the app on your phone and it does everything the remote does

• Should work as long as you your wife don't battle it out with your remotes, which would confuse the sensor.
