“Purchased our set about 6 months ago. Have had issues after 4 months. Finally after long talks w/LG they sent a tech. Apparently the main board is toast. They promise to return with a new one. Should we settle for the repair or demand a new set?”

Tech was here today and put in a new main board TV seems to be working ok. There was a loose screw under the board - maybe the problem...not 100% sure I'm satisfied, but, the TV is working for now
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I personally would demand a new one. Reason being at six months old the board should’ve not broke in the beginning. I would definitely request a new TV. Also, I would be very wary, because if it was poorly put together to start with then what else can go wrong with it I would rather have a new unit.
