The 65 inch G2 OLED has very good sound on its own. I live in a condo, and cannot turn the volume up 50% without complaints from neighbors.

I'm an old school guy if you want my opinions the best way To enjoy a movie is to buy a good quality receiver and a 7.2 too 9.4. I have a 9.4 surround sound system you'll hear sounds that you'll never get out of that sound bar. MR peterson

I do have a sound bar on my Samsung tv in another room, and there’s no doubt a sound bar will give you better or more sound. But by itself the LG is adequate.
