Do you use an optical cable or an HDMI cord? The best way is to plug your speakers straight into the HDMI eARC port on the TV itself. You will need a certified 4K HDMI 2.1 cord. Your cable box needs to also have an HDMI 2.1 cable going into on of the other 2.1 ports on the TV to get the sound decoding you want as well. I use a SONOS system and it works great having the HDMI cord plugged into the eARC port on my G3 OLED.

To get your Bose speakers, which are wired into your Xfinity Cable Box, to work with your LG TV, you'll need to follow a few steps. First, make sure your TV is set to output audio through the correct source by going to [Settings] > [All Settings] > [Sound] and checking the audio output options. If your Bose speakers have an HDMI ARC or optical input, consider connecting the TV directly to the speakers; for HDMI ARC, connect the HDMI ARC port on your TV to the ARC port on your sound system, or use an optical cable to connect the optical output on the TV to the optical input on your speakers. Additionally, ensure that your Xfinity Cable Box is configured to send audio to your external speakers by accessing its audio settings. Once connected, adjust the volume on both the TV and the Bose speakers to achieve optimal sound quality, and then test the setup by playing a show or movie on your cable box. If you encounter any issues or have further questions about the setup, please feel free to reach out via private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport. We’re here to help! —Avril
