• No you don't have to use a sound bar, the speakers on this TV have very good sound!! I was pleasantly surprised!!

• No. Many of these type tvs just focus on picture quality. LG also did a great job with the sound on this one. Surprisingly good speakers that can handle a big room.

• No you do not. Flat screens typically don't have great speakers, and this tv is not much better, but it does have better speakers than most flat screens. If you want better sound, I'm sure there's options like Sonos or the like. I like https://axiim.com/
