“I have Comcast and still watch many shows in standard definition. I want the SD picture on this TV to be at least as good as my 2014 55" Samsung, while it Wows me with HD and 4K content. Will this TV do this, or will I be disappointed in my old SD shows?”

Be careful with this and be sure to try and check out the TV you have your eye on before you buy. I have Verizon FiOS and the performance on my 65C7P in dark areas of the picture when watching cable, or less than pristine content, is a bit disappointing. Honestly, if you watch mostly TV I would advise waiting until 2018 to get an LG OLED. Most of the LG 2018 OLED models will have an alpha-9 processing chip that is supposed to do a much better job with compressed content (cable) and non-HD sources. The hope is that the processing will be much better and begin to approach the excellent processing that Sony TVs with the X1 Xtreme processing chip have.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Episodes and movies that were on my Spectrum DVR are now much better on this TV than the SONY HD I had previously. I don't even know where you would get a Standard Definition recording, maybe a DVD or VCR.
