Interesting question. Both are on sale, the E8 is a few dollars more. I think it's worth it for the design that is a real conversation starter. The E8 and C8 use the same panel and same processor. But one other difference is in the sound bar. The E8's bar faces forward -towards you. Easier to understand voices, dialogue. the E8's woofer in the back is also larger and goes deeper. The C8's sound fires downward - then bounces out to you so there's a slight delay (microseconds). That bothered me but maybe won't be a big deal for you. Pictures are the same. The sound is the big difference as well as the design. Hope this helps.
