As with any other electric dryer, regardless of brand or manufacturer, you can use a 30-amp, 240-volt, 3-wire or 4-wire, UL-listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor and closed-loop or forked terminals with upturned ends, with the Energy Star® Qualified LG 7.3 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry - White, Model # DLE6100W. Check your local building codes or consult with your local building inspector to determine which one can be used in your home. A 3-wire connection is NOT permitted in new construction after January 1, 1996. The 3-wire circuit must originate directly from the main service panel where the neutral and ground buses are bonded together. You must run a new 4-wire cable from the panel. Performing a major renovation or changing out the electrical panel generally triggers a code requirement to pull fresh, dedicated 4-wire circuits for these high-draw appliances.
