I install the dryer so I can’t speak on that part!

Please try again later.You can use a 30-amp, 240-volt, 3-wire or 4-wire, UL-listed power cord with # 10 AWG-minimum copper conductor and closed loop or forked terminals with upturned ends with the ENERGY STAR® Certified, Model # DLE6100W. You will need to check your local building codes and regulations, consult your local building inspector, or a qualified, licensed electrician about which type of power cord is permitted in your area. A 3-wire power cord is NOT permitted on new construction after January 1, 1996. A 4-wire power cord is required where grounding through the neutral conductor is prohibited for: (1) new branch-circuit installations and (2) areas where local codes prohibit grounding through the neutral conductor...^Ivan.
